Celestial Tournament Round #7 and #8 Both Lost
It is hard for me to write this article, because I'm still a little bit frustrated. Not because we lost, but because we lost what we could win.
Round #7 we played against I Agony Realm I. We began the first match with our hex split on our Corrupted Island Guild Hall. The whole match was clearly in our hands and we won it with no big problems.
For second match we have chosen dervish+mesh spike build and it took place on their Jade Island which was ideal for our build. The whole battle took place near flag stand and it was pretty much even. But we still managed slowly spiking them one by one and gaining more and more morale advantage, while they were unable to do anything to us (except some occasional kills). Then the VoD came and suddenly some mistake happened, because we lost all our NPCs very fast, while almost all opponent's remained. But we fought hard and somehow managed to kill their NPCs as well to even the score and the course of the match returned to old track. When we thought we should already win this match (and with it also whole round) something really stupid happened. One of our members simply left, because he had to go to work (night shift). And to make things even worse, that leaver was one of our monks. Guess what happened? Yes, you are right... we dropped like flies. T_T
Before third match we replaced missing player and returned to our build and GH from the first match. Our opponent took heavy overhex build and put us under pressure right from the begining. We resisted how we could, but were simply unable to break through them and lost this match (and by it the whole round).
Round #8 we played against Prizewinning Hogs. First match took place on their Frozen Island. We were playing our newly created assa/fire ele pressure build and again our start was perfect. We scorched them with no big problems.
For second match we have chosen our hex split build on Corrupted Island, but they countered with perfect counter tactics and outplayed us in our own GH.
The third match took place on Island of Jade and we took our assa/ele from the first match. They surprised us with quick 2 or 3 kills, but then we regrouped and pushed them back with morale boosts on our side. And again some mistakes occured (this time some individual mistakes), which resulted to death of one of our monks. We were unable to res him and everything broke down like house of cards. And once again we lost the match we should win.
