About Necro Raiders

capeWelcome to Necro Raiders [NR] guild pages. NR is a Czech and Slovak Guild Wars PvP guild oriented on high level Player versus Player game play. Please feel free to browse our web presentation and make sure to post a greeting on our forum.

History:
Necro Raiders
was founded by geranium and mirem in September 2005 after both left their former guild Czech Legends [CzL] which at the time was the biggest Czech guild on the scene. They were not happy with the orientation of the guild on PvE and lack of PvP game play. While mirem tried to search for other PvP guilds earlier, he was not successful. Our vision was to create a stable GvG oriented guild made of Czech and Slovak players. After nearly 8 weeks of recruiting we started to actively play and we play ever since.

During our short history we have managed to qualify for the Guild Wars 2006 World Championship and won against Expect The Unexpected [XP], then we lost to Esoteric Warriors [EW].

Later seasons were much weaker as we went through many problems that we successfuly avoided before. This was caused by attednadce problems by inactive players and we had to recruit and train new players. For training purposes we used to smurf using the Never Ready [NR] guild. Somehow we managed to rank both guilds around the rank 100 almost every season. Our most recent achievements include 7th place in the Wintersday tournament.

Philosophy:

  • Play as much as possible
  • Play with maximum 12 as active people as possible
  • Only Czech and Slovak players are recruited
  • Play original and entertaining builds
  • Play Fair and Tactical games
  • No Warriors, No Metagame, No Exploits
Motto:
Usella Mituti Ikkalu Baltuti

But why the name?
The name originated as a prank on Necroraisers which is a well known Czech FPS gaming clan. We later changed it to Necro Raiders as we were all very fond of the Necromancer profession and wanted to keep the name. There were rumors we created the name because we played necro spikes or to match our for fun builds based on N/W but actually the name was chosen long before we started playing and we never played necro spike before. Funny, how things turn out eventually.
